I have read it a few times and it has helped my perspective quite a bit. Before traveling the path outlined in this book there are a few things you should know. I have outlined these facts here. If you can make it through, you are ready to begin your journey to the 4 Hour Workweek.

SOUNDS LIKE A SCHEME

Yes, it’s true. It sounds like a get-rich-quick sceme. The author, Tim Ferriss, is the first to admit it. The title was chosen solely based on sales research. Originally, Tim was going to name the book Drug Dealing for Fun and Profit.

Simply, Tim bought advertisements through google adwords, featuring the book by many different titles. At the end a few weeks the best performing ad settled the book title dispute.

NOT FOR EVERYONE

Some people spend their lives chasing their dreams by trying to earn enough money to one day live it up. Some try to love what they do to make money. This book is not for either of those kinds of people. This book will help you dissect what you do from what you do to make money.

Not everyone wants to own their own business and not just anyone can successfully work on their own. This book is a guide that will help you start your own business and/or help you negotiate remote working conditions with your current employer. Either way, you need to be a self motivated person.

This book does not suggest that there is one best way to live; it just outlines a path you might choose. Obviously this guy doesn’t get it

NOT A PATH TOWARDS LAZINESS

This is not meant as a road to just lazing around and doing nothing. This is more likely a path for people that have many interests. If you can free your worries of generating income, what would you spend your time doing? Not only does this book help you get to the 4 hour work week, it will also teach you how to adjust your new life. This book teaches you how to dream, acheive, and then live the dream.

STILL NOT SURE?

If you still aren’t sure if you are a good candidate for the 4 hour workweek, read it. Either way, you will benifit from the many concepts introduced by this book.
