I've been exposed to and have used this phrase among my family for so long, it wasn't until recently that I realized how ridiculous it is. But, it's just so damned succinct. That's the beauty of language and how it gets constructed, deconstructed, and evolved. I hope you enjoy one of my favorite informal Spanish phrases.
